Well, I passed my Gestational Diabetes and Anemia tests yesterday. So, that is great! Don't have to deal with either of those things. And, my blood type is positive, so I don't have to worry about getting a shot at 28 weeks followed by testing, either. Woohoo!
So, things are moving along swimmingly. Baby is not quite 2 pounds (estimate of course), and heartbeat was 150's yesterday. The countdown is almost down to 100 days according to the little 'ticker' on this blog - moving right along!!
We are pretty sure we have the name picked, but we're not telling. Sorry, I know, that stinks for everyone else. I've been on the other side and been annoyed when people don't tell, but now that I'm in those shoes I understand. Jared REALLY wants to not tell people, and I don't really care, so he wins. You'll all know soon enough, I promise.....15 weeks, it'll go fast!!

Soccer?? Karate?? Just Crazy???
I know this little guy is only about 1 1/2 pounds and no where near how big he's going to get, but boy is he a strong one. Although I have nothing to compare it to, so it's maybe the "norm", but the whole "feeling flutters" thing is long out the window for this cookie!! He's been kicking and punching (or so I assume) lately a lot more and more. And let me just say, it is fabulous!! Means that little guy is strong and growing right along.
But, as they get stronger (which I know they are no where near where they'll be at the end, trust me I know), they sometimes startle me. And he picks funny times. Like this morning during church, during the sermon I whispered to Jared that baby had been punching and he should put his hand on my tummy (discretely, not to make a scene of course :)), and feel. Well, about then the pastor starts a prayer, followed by an alter call, so it is completely quiet. Low and behold this child starts karate kicking the side of me, and Jared and I got to laughing so hard during this moment of "silence and reflection." Nice, kiddo!! Haha - the kicks were so hard Jared could feel them and one made me jump!! It was so fantastic, but the laughing that followed was at the worst time. We had to do the silent chuckle where your body moves a little even.
Maybe people thought we were overtaken with emotion, like we probably should have been, rather than laughing at our soccer player in my belly. Oh, he's making us laugh already!! All day he's been on the move - must have been the gilato I tried last night (for the first time, which was fabulous, thank you Annie :)) or something.
Who knows, at any rate, this baby is getting more and more active by the day, and may make his dad REALLY excited to have a soccer player come out in November :). Haha - stay tuned....

We're having a BOY!!
Hello everyone!! We are so excited to announce that we are having a sweet little BABY BOY!!
We are so thrilled. He cooperated so well for the ultrasound and was not afraid to show us that he is in fact a boy!!
The ultrasound was so amazing - every little organ and body part working together already! It's such a miracle. They said baby is measuring about 3 days ahead of schedule, so just perfect. He is 1 lb. 1 oz. and everything is growing and developing just as it should be. He's just our little miracle!
We are so excited! And, our family is anxious to finally have a little boy around! It'll just be so much fun! Dad is already looking into the 2014 football schedule to see which game should be little guy's first Husker game - haha.
Let the preparations begin!! Shopping, here I come!! Haha - I'll try to hold myself back, but this is just so much fun! Thanks for sharing in the excitement with us - we love you all!
Yep, that'd be the boy parts :)
Hand up by his facing, sucking his thumb almost
