We still need to get to the pumpkin patch with Caden. Hoping to do that on a 'nice weather' day. But our days left to get out there are numbered, so we'd better get out there!! We have 2 halloween events this week. We will have lots of wear out of the Elmo costume. Caden went to Lollipops hair salon this week for a 'real' haircut. And he looks like one cool dude. We have 2 year pics for Caden on Wednesday morning. WHAT?!? Two years? Where did that go??
I started potting training CW today. So far I can't totally tell if it's going to work and I just have to be patient (as I know it takes a while), or if he's not quite as ready as I thought he was and we need to put it on the back burner until spring. More on that later (complete with pictures).
I just got back the beginning of this week from a wonderful trip to Texas with my Mom and Sis to see Allie's best friend Leslie and her family. I missed the boys, but had so much fun and just enjoyed being a Sister, Daugher, and friend for a few days :). It was a wonderful girls' trip indeed. Jared went above and beyond taking care of Caden those 4 days I was away. More on all of that later too, once I get Allie's pics from her camera and can post on it all :).
But for now, I will let you get caught up on our October with these pics. Caden is saying more everyday, changing everyday, growing up more everyday. Slow down, baby boy, don't grow up too fast :)!!
We enjoyed lovely weather and some time at the park
We had to clean the garage so Jared could paint it. Caden helped. So cute. Made my heart so happy. He was so proud of himself.
Went to see T and bring her a treat.
Patiently waiting for "Boo" to get home. Seriously adorable. I love this pic to pieces. He loves "T".
The zoo with Krissy, Kell, Asher, Lexi, and Elizabeth.
They love the zoo.
We break rules sometimes. Picnic in the living room. With TV. Caden and I are rebels :).
Grammy stopped with a cookie for her boy.
Loving having Lizzie living in Lincoln!!
Caden created a stool out of a box so he could look at the window at his Daddy mowing. So cute. And Jared being the sweetheart he is went and got the ladder and climbed up to the window so Caden could see him better. Seriously, so sweet.
Oops, he snuck a bink. And I took a pic of those baby blues. Mmm....he is delish.
Maren called.....our dear friends from South Dakota.....her and the boys were going to be in Lincoln that evening.....so Caden and I met them up at Burger King so the boys could eat (sort of :)) and play (mostly :)), and we could get caught up. Love them. So good to see them.
One of the few times he sat on the potty without a huge fight. And he decorated himself with Mickey Mouse Clubhouse stickers. Duh. Accessorize much?!?!
And, I had the rugs up in an effort to avoid them all getting covered in pee, so sweet little CW took it upon himself to sweep for Mommy. With 3 bandaids on. And no pants. Or underwear. all 10 pairs were wet already by evening when he swept. And our washer isn't 'draining properly' or something. So I can't do laundry. And J is gone for the weekend. Mom took the wet undies home tonight and is bringing them back clean in the morning. Delivery laundry service? That'll work :)!!
